This is Oorvazi's debut feature film as an actor. She got attracted to acting as an artist and as a tool of self discovery.

Tom Alter as Grandfather

Tom Alter an FTII graduate headed straight to Bombay, India and soon got his first break in the Dev-Anand starrer Sahib Bahadur directed by Chetan Anand and continues to act in Indian television and Bollywood films besides lending his support and talent to independent cinema. He has had a long career in films and worked with luminaries such as V Shantaram, Raj Kapoor, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Manmohan Desai, Manoj Kumar and Satjajit Ray. He has also accumulated a body of theatrical work, the most recent having been in the theatrical reproduction of William Dalrymple's City of Djinns and the solo play Maulana, based on Maulana Azad for which he has received much critical acclaim.


He has also received praise for his role in the art film Ocean of An Old Man, which has been screened at film festivals around the world. Among several international assignments was the opportunity to work with Peter O'Toole in the Hollywood film One Night With The King. In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious Padma Shree by the Indian government in recognition for his services to the field of arts and cinema.

Rushad Rana as Perseus

Rushad has been active in the Indian industry starting his career with modeling, anchoring and continued to expand his horizon with acting in commercials, serials, music videos and Bollywood films. He has worked with respected Indian directors like Yash Chopra with Veer Zaara and Nagesh Kukoonoor with Dor, Mod and Tasveer among many other art house and popular films to his credit.

Shishir Sharma as Zurvan

Shishir started his career in theatre in 1975 with Satyadev Dubey and then formed a theatre company Aparna with Sunil Shanbag which recently performed at The Globe Theatre, London an Indian language adaptation of Shakespeare’s play Alls Well That Ends Well. He started his television career in 1993 and went on to work in TV for a very long time. His film career took off with Satya directed by Ram Gopal Verma and continued to work in many films after that. He is currently working in a film titled Talvar directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Darius Shroff as the Intellectual and Mazdak

A senior counsel by profession, which started 37 yrs ago and been practicing in High Courts and the Supreme Court in India. Acting on stage is his passion and he has worked with some popular Indian theatre directors including Alyque Padamsee, Adi Marazban, Sam Kerawala. Recently he did 2 plays Noises Off and Perrieras Bakery and a musical Sound of Music.

Firdausi Jussawalla as Mani and the Beggar

Firdausi has been active for many years in theatre, television, Bollywood and art house films pursuing his passion in acting which started early in his school and college days. He was part of the first group from India to perform at the Edinburgh Arts/Theatre Festival (U.K) with a play in English based on the British Raj directed by Pearl Padamsee. Among his other films he has acted in the Channel Four and NFDC co funded film Percy and a BBC film titled Such a Long Journey.

Vivek Tandon as Kardir

Vivek has acted at the National Centre Performing Arts NCPA Expi, Prithvi, and other stages: most recently with Tom Alter in Michael Frayn's great play Copenhagen, and Ranjit Hoskote's Three Short Plays, directed by Avaan Patel. On stage he has done diverse roles such as the singing Doctor Dorn in Chekhov's The Seagull, and the greedy eco-terrorist (singing) businessman in Jaimini Pathak's children's play, Once upon a Tiger. Besides being a theatre actor he has also acted in mainstream cinema, commercials, and corporate films. Vivek is a published poet and author, winning a Charles Wallace award for his work. He was selected for Royal Court Theatre London's prestigious International Residency Programme.
